Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil&Gas and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 2.14% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which fell 0.75% or 5.2 points to trade at 689.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) fell 0.99% or 1.9 points to end at 190.2 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was down 0.99% or 2.0 points to 199.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which fell 4.49% or 5.05 points to trade at 107.40 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 4.27% or 15.7 points to end at 351.6 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 4.09% or 8.20 points to 192.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 483 to 158 and 36 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 4.15% or 2.00 to $46.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.72% or 2.13 to hit $55.11 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.65 to trade at $1263.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.66% to 10.2839, while USD/SEK fell 1.16% to 8.9940.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 96.047.
