Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media&Publishing, Petrochemicals and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050), which rose 10.00% or 3.35 points to trade at 36.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310) added 6.38% or 1.65 points to end at 27.50 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) was up 2.87% or 0.46 points to 16.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Ceramic Co. (SE:2040), which fell 3.33% or 0.70 points to trade at 20.30 at the close. Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) declined 3.23% or 2.40 points to end at 72.00 and Arabian Cement Co (SE:3010) was down 2.95% or 0.70 points to 23.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 146 to 32 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 10.00% or 3.35 to 36.85.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.36% or 0.17 to $46.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.23% or 0.13 to hit $56.39 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1251.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.31% to 4.2766, while USD/SAR fell 0.03% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 96.292.
